Just approved, SIP-150 raises the deployer earnings target minimum and adds per-site reward multipliers at venues that carry the Network's heaviest traffic.
The Sherwood community has approved SIP-150, and the vote was decisive. Deployers and network hosts backed the proposal overwhelmingly, making it the latest step in a steady effort to make earnings follow the load the network actually carries.
SIP-150 does two things. First, it raises the deployer earnings target minimum — a floor under the earnings of hotspots that meet coverage and uptime standards. For deployers, that means more predictable income: show up, stay online, and the baseline reward is higher than it was yesterday.
Second, and more significantly, SIP-150 adds per-site reward multipliers at high-demand venues. Venues that carry the Network's heaviest traffic — transit hubs, stadiums, campuses, busy retail — now earn premium rates, because the traffic they carry is the most valuable to carriers.
The logic is straightforward. As carrier offload grows, traffic concentrates. A hotspot inside a packed arena carries more load in a single evening than a quiet suburban site carries in a month. Rewards should follow that reality instead of flattening it.
Multipliers aren't set by fiat. They're reviewed each epoch against real usage data, so a venue earns premium rates only while it actually carries premium traffic. If demand shifts, the multiplier moves with it.
All of this runs transparently on the Robinhood Chain. Coverage proofs, usage data, and payouts in SHW are all verifiable on-chain, so deployers can audit exactly what they earned and why — no opaque reward formulas, no black-box settlement.
What deployers should do next: check venue qualification in the dashboard. Many existing sites already meet the traffic thresholds for multipliers and will see the change in their next payout cycle.
A higher floor and a higher ceiling. Deployers earn more for consistent coverage, and the network pays premium rates where demand is thickest. That's how the People's Network should reward the people who build it.
Deploy where demand is thickest and SIP-150 rewards every byte your hotspot carries.
